Assistant Merchandise Managers are responsible for maintaining the merchandise selling areas through proper display and signing, ensuring inventory levels are sufficient to achieve sales, training and supervising Ticketers and coordinating the activities of Ticketers and Forklift Drivers for maximum productivity. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Recommending merchandising changes that would enhance sales 
  • Maintaining the quality of data in designated areas 
  • Preparing pull lists for the early morning stocking crew 
  • Ensuring floor and housekeeping standards are met 
  • Developing Team Members for internal growth 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


  • High school education 
  • Previous merchandise handling experience at a grocery or discount store 
  • 1 – 3 years of merchandising experience
