The Associate Fraud Investigator will support fraud operations processes which include alert monitoring, fraud surveillance and investigations. Successful candidates will be able to identify and analyze fraud trends and recommend new rules to prevent additional losses. Investigators work independently while ensuring critical functions are fulfilled timely and accurately. Being able to ramp up fast is critical.

-Review surveillance reports and internal or external fraud referrals, analyze suspicious account activity, conduct research and document results in a written format
-Perform research through brokerage/bank systems, online public and subscription-based resources and internal contacts
-Write Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) referrals in accordance with regulations and required time limitations
-Demonstrate independent decision making and problem solving abilities
-Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external customers regarding resolution of fraud issues
- Participate in updating current procedures and documenting new procedures
- Provide training to team members
- Take part in business continuity testing
- Maintain knowledge of BSA/SAR filing requirements and investigation workflows
- Participate in departmental responsibilities or projects as assigned
-High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification or military experience
-At least 1 year of fraud experience or at least 1 year of investigative experience
-2+ years of fraud experience or 2+ years of AML experience or 2+ years of investigative experience
-2+ years of brokerage industry experience
-Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
-Proficient in Microsoft Office
