We are looking for an analyst with a finance and/or category management background to join our team!
This person will enjoy a dynamic and fast paced work environment that is focused on delivering analytics across all 5 Unilever Net Revenue Management Levers:
1.) Brand Portfolio Pricing
2.) Pack/Price Architecture
3.) Mix Management
4.) Promotion Management,
5.) Trade Spend Translation
They will create an/or update analytical models across the 5 Levers of NRM
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver NRM analysis and align across functions (Brand, Finance, Customer Marketing, Consumer & Shopper Insights, Supply Chain, Category Management, etc.) on key outputs and opportunities to exploit across Price/Pack, Mix and Promotion Optimization.
Support the delivery of NRM workshops to share findings, gain input and alignment of key opportunities
Support the creation of selling stories that positions Unilever as an expert in this space
Support the NRM Manager in strategically influencing and bringing thought leadership in the area of NRM
Support the development and/or implementation of World Class Tools and Analytics
Ability to deliver analytics and uncover new insights and recommendations that are mutually beneficial (both volumetrically and financially) and on strategy
Ability to work cross functionally and lead from role
Ability to understand the consumer, shopper and customer in all analytics
Ability to create and deliver advanced analytics and models
Provide Analysis for specific NRM category programs across Unilever’s ~$10bn NA business, including Food, Refreshments and Personal Care
Interaction across all work levels and functions
Systems range from Nielsen, Essbase, Access, Tableau, Unilever TPM (AMPS) and other
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree a plus
Minimum 3 years customer, analytical and or financial experience required
Knowledge of advanced analytics including pricing and promotion in a CPG, multi-tier pricing environment required
Ability to create and deliver advanced analytical models required (Consumer and Financial)
Process and analytic experience required
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, Business Process, Financial, Analytical and Organizational skills required.
Nielsen experience required ; Merlin database expertise a plus
Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and create a coherent set of conclusions and insights that are translatable into actions
Ability to present to multi-functional and work level audience at Unilever and customers while effectively selling ideas and concepts.
Ability to lead from role by leveraging analytics
Ability to communicate and share findings & recommendations with immediate team plus the business as a whole.
Commitment to establish new process will require pooling of mutual skills and competencies across the immediate team to ensure the whole is greater than the sum of the parts
Person suitable for the role will have process background, financial and category management understanding, and communication skills. Furthermore will be inquisitive and have a bias for action to derive insights from various data sources that will enable improvement of strategies and tactics (insight into action)
Role is project based within Unilever NA, therefore is a great opportunity to work cross functionally, more deeply understand different positions and build visibility for next role in Unilever.
