Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate, Technology in New York, New York
Serve on the Morgan Stanley Online/Mobile project team, which is a new initiative that will enable new user features on the Morgan Stanley Online website and mobile applications. Responsible for working directly with primary business partners to review business requirements and ensure that they are complete for the Business Analysis team to start documenting user stories. Bring the entire development team together to review requirements and establish project development milestones. Work with the business unit on developing the roadmap for implementing additional features to the Morgan Stanley Online website, laying out all of the dependencies across the entire Morgan Stanley Online/Mobile portfolio. Coordinate and own the implementation of multiple key project initiatives. Create and maintain detailed project plans and summary project plans for presentations to stakeholders. Provide status updates on the progress of the project and will serve as a subject matter expert for areas of coverage. Drive requirements gathering by working with users to define the scope of the project, scheduling and running requirements gathering sessions, prioritizing topics, scheduling meetings, and keeping meetings on track and productive. Act as a liaison and advocate between business users and development teams. Identify and oversee issues to full resolution. Assist with and facilitate user acceptance testing and will be expected to oversee risk and scope changes while driving the project toward set tasks and project phase closure.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as a Program Manager, Vice President, Assistant Vice President, Technology Associate, Business Analyst, or related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience in Wealth Management/Investment Management technology focusing on technology architecture, service delivery, and release management functions. Requires experience in planning, tracking, and reporting medium to high complexity technology projects; hands on experience performing detailed business analysis; and requirements specifications creation for complex broker/dealer systems. Requires demonstrated experience with large scale databases including DB2 and SQL Server; messaging software; and programming languages including .NET, Java, COBOL, Scheme, Python, Ruby on Rails, and VB.NET. Requires prior experience with software development methodologies including Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall as well as prior experience with project management tools including JIRA, MS Project, RALLY, and TFS. Requires prior experience in business analysis and testing functions pertaining to software development and tools including MS Visio, MS SharePoint Designer, HP Quality Center, and QTP.
