The primary responsibility is to provide high-quality care for all athletes at the high school setting. Excellent service including communication, compassionate care, and exceeding expectations of athletes, parents, and coaches is the standard. The athletic trainer will be communicating and working under the direction of a highly qualified and experienced sports medicine physician practice. Duties associated with this position include preventative and rehabilitative care; evaluation and first aid; practice and game supervision; effective communication with athletes, parents, coaches, and physicians; referring athletes for appropriate diagnostic, follow-up procedures, and subsequent injury tracking ; shared community projects promoting our sports medicine service; shared supervision of club and recreational sport.
Minimum Requirements :
Education: Undergraduate degree from an accredited athletic training curriculum
Certifications: Current Georgia License or eligible. Certification by the Board of Certification, Inc. BLS required upon hire.
Experience: 800 hours of ATC experience/internship
