The Audit Consultant in Corporate Audit will:
Support the project lead in audit engagement planning, execution and reporting Support audit field work by assessing the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of compliance, financial, IT fraud and operational controls Assist with specialized audits in the area of cybersecurity, medical device security and data protection, as well as select data privacy regulations Understand and validate business processes and systems across business, regions and functions Understand how IT general controls (ITGC), application controls, and technology risks affect the control environment Identify opportunities for cost recoveries and improvements to governance, processes or controls Support Corporate Audit management with department projects and initiatives Use data analytics during planning, execution and reporting to optimize coverage and effectiveness Develop and maintain relationships with Baxter management to ensure familiarity with corporate priorities and alignment with the audit plan Assist with audit management action plan review, and facilitating timely closures while working with senior management from business Support special audits and departmental projects that may arise Qualifications : Qualifications:
Self-starter with strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task across multiple projects/priorities Understanding of internal controls and business processes across functions, including manufacturing, information systems, finance, accounting, commercial, human resources and others Two-plus years of progressive internal audit experience at a publicly traded company that includes experience in a risk-based audit environment Internal audit experience in a professional services firm is preferred Appropriate audit certification is preferred IT controls experience is preferred ERP implementation or audit experience is preferred Bachelor's degree in information systems, economics, finance, accounting or related degree is required Audit Consultants are expected to travel between 10-25% domestically and internationally Opportunity to work between headquarters in Deerfield and our satellite office in Chicago as business needs allow
