Position Description

Audit Consultant, Senior – Data Analytics:  Brookfield, WI or Alpharetta, GA

Background

The Audit Consultant – Data Analytics, Senior will be part of the Corporate Audit Services (CAS) team which is responsible for executing IT, financial and operational internal audits and advisory engagements throughout the organization and its functions.  The candidate will have highly developed analytical skills and possess the ability to interpret complex data from a variety of sources for analysis and decision making.   

The role will be primarily responsible for working with business units to gather data from various systems in order to develop metrics, reports and/or dashboards with tools such as SQL, Microsoft Office, Tableau or ACL.  This data will be utilized by CAS to support audit and advisory activities and also to provide additional insight to business unit leadership.  Additionally, the successful candidate may participate in a variety of audit and advisory engagements in order to support the function and further enhance their business acumen and knowledge of the audit process.  The candidate will report to the Manager-Financial & Operations Audit.  Travel may be required up to 25%, primarily domestically.  Some international travel may periodically be necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Economics, Math or other related fields from an accredited university Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with analytical and quantitative problem solving Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions based on data Excellent written communication and presentation skills

Desired Qualifications

MBA or other advanced degree with an Analytics focus Additional coursework in accounting, finance, and/or technology related disciplines Experience with SAP data, Tableau, and ACL Professional business experience in the financial services or technology industry

Responsibilities

Support Corporate Audit Services team in gathering business requirements and identifying opportunities to leverage data analysis in audit and advisory engagements. Interpret analytical needs to identify and develop KPIs for testing and monitoring. Partner with source system owners to:

  • Understand the database schematics and data sets related to the identified KPIs.
  • Acquire data from source systems and maintain databases.
  • Ensure complete collection and quality of data while adhering to data governance protocols.

Develop, implement, modify and maintain existing/new reports and dashboards from various source systems’ data. Analyze and mine complex business data sets to identify and interpret patterns, trends and correlations among the various data sets.   Deliver integrated analysis through ad-hoc reports to provide additional operational and business insight. Serve as part of the Corporate Audit Services team, executing audit procedures as directed. Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis and reporting. Partner with internal teams to continue development of long term data warehouse architecture.
