Job Duties and Functions:
-Organization of new and existing AutoCAD Projects.
-Administrative and drafting duties including creation, modification, and maintenance / storage of CAD files for all jobs.
-Complete detailed shop drawings from sketch plans, legal descriptions and both written and verbal instructions using AutoCAD programs.
-Work directly with the designer.
-Copying project documentation and delivery as needed.
-Generate drawings using AutoCAD software. The work is primarily commercial fire alarm system, but they also design other low voltage system such as access control, CCTV, nurse call , sound system. They are looking for a CAD resource with experience (can be from school) that can provide support for a designer with minimal training.
-Compile working drawings for team as assigned.
-Responsible to follow company CAD standards and guidelines.
-Expedite projects in a timely manner and interface with the designer and design manager to gather information about required drawings for the project.
-Customer service and care as needed.
-All other duties as assigned within your scope of work.

Experience and Skills:
Required:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-AutoCAD education/experience
-Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
-Good communication skills to interface with customers
-Attention to detail
-Ability to work autonomously
-Ability to work well with others and come to work with a positive attitude

The AutoCAD Drafter will be responsible for preparing code compliant fire sprinkler design drawings using AutoCAD, SprinkCAD and 3-D Modeling. Prepare project submittals for review. Support sales staff with valued engineering. Prepare stock list and material acquisitions. Perform field surveys for drawing accuracy. Perform Safety Assessments with client requirements. Attend coordination and progress meetings. Review work of other design team members for accuracy and code compliance. Develop design progress schedules and organize workload of design team. Perform other job related duties as required.
