: This position is responsible for managing the team that works on new product development and Risk and Analytics for both derivatives and assets.  The incumbent is responsible for assisting with rollout of the strategic plan for the derivative operations team.  The position will work across the different groups (collateral management, confirmation, valuation and analytics)  within the derivative operations team and partner with the team leads to deliver the plan.  They will also assist in the analysis of existing processes and systems and collaborate on the future state.  This position with report to the Head of Derivative Operations

 

  • Partner with the head of derivative operations on strategic and tactical iniatives for streamlining and  enhancing the systems and processes. 
  • Work on strategic recommendations and the ongoing strategic planning for derivative operations, including evaluating business processes, new software and automated processes.  
  • Project manage and work on the implementation of new systems, partnering closely with the following teams:
    • External vendors
    • Internal IT department
    • Internal operations teams
    • Internal Audit
  • Lead all project management within the Risk and Analytics team
  • Works with technology to implement key programs within the team. 
  • Lead the coordination and documentation of derivative products working with the business and technology on the requirements for new derivative instruments

 

  • A minimum 15 years experience with Derivative trade modeling and pricing.
  • MBA, CFA, or other relevant post graduate education preferred.

 

  • Work experience of the end to end life cycle of a derivative trade including documentation, collateral, valuation, pnl, and trade modeling.
  • Experience with Numerix, Murex and Blackrock Aladdin.
  • Experience in testing, development, and delivery of new systems.
  • Ability to manage a “bottoms-up” approach in order to facilitate communication and understanding of the focus on risk management throughout the organization.
  • Accomplished change management leader with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; inquisitive nature and comfortable in challenging current practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking and time management skills.
