Role Value Proposition :


The role has dual responsibilities- (i) Drive Global Operations strategic initiatives and (ii) Be responsible for overall Governance of MetLife Way initiatives cutting across all the functions in the Organization.

The Global Operations Strategy role will require the individual to help govern and drive key initiatives. These include initiatives such as Sourcing strategy, Operating model design, Cascading Operations strategy (aligned to the MetLife strategy) etc.,  S/he collaborates with other leaders within Global Operations to execute strategies i.e., develop action plans, manage outcomes, help create regional and country level Operations strategies. In this role, the leader will also be responsible for executive reporting for Global Operations on key intiatives and strategic programs.

Additionally, this individual will also drive the Governance for all Enterprise level Lean programs. This will include annual planning, budget and resource management, and ongoing tracking and reporting of the Lean initiatives impact and execution status 

This position requires superior problem solving skills, critical thinking, communications, and relationship-building skills and in-depth understanding of a contact center operating environment.  The AVP of Strategy must demonstrate exceptional judgment, professionalism, tact and poise at all times.

  • Build the Operations regional and country level strategies
  • Proactively identify new opportunities to deliver enterprise value through GO programs.
  • Partner with senior GO leaders to ensure delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate, prepare content and ensure accurate delivery for various  business presentations and executive level communication
  • Coordinate and/or own department activities, projects and initiatives in support of the organizations strategic goals and operational plans
  • Manage the accountabilities arising from Leadership Team meetings, partnering when necessary with members to complete their assigned responsibilities
  • Managing yearly planning for all Lean (MetLife Way programs)
  • Oversees the creation of all program documentation and interfaces with all areas affected. He/ She will manage the governance of all the deployment initiatives running globally at a time; on average 20 deployments running simultaneously and multiple teams across many lines of business or corporate functions
  • Communicates with company and line of business leadership regarding the status of specific projects. Assists in conducting quality management reviews relative to program delivery and program management.
  • Using data developed from analyses, prepares recommendations for senior management review


Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years post MBA Experience in top tier consulting companies
  • Conceptual thinking: Can break down complex problems into smaller actionable steps. Is a strong problem solver and uses structured logic to drive towards decisions

  • Strong analytical rigor

  • Project Management capabilities – Can manage projects and has the ability to put structure towards getting things done

  • Written and Verbal communication – Strong communicator. Has the ability to develop written power point and word based communication focused towards senior executives

  • Team Management – can manage and influence a desperate team driving specific projects
