:   The AVP of Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) will support the VP & Associate General Counsel of Information Governance (VP of IG) by providing strategic and daily tactical leadership for all aspects of the Global ILM program, including strategic direction, management of corporate ILM policies, processes, procedures, standards, and tools, and enterprise implementation of ILM principles globally. The AVP will collaborate with IT, Legal, Risk Management, Audit and various other stakeholders to deliver ILM requirements and compliance strategies to minimize potential risks.  In addition to coordinating, implementing and managing the Program, this individual will assist the VP of ILM in providing executive level support for information management in a broader strategic framework. This position will also directly lead the enterprise ILM staff that supports the Program.


  • Support the VP of IG to provide overall leadership of the ILM Program across the enterprise.
  • Provide daily leadership as it relates to Program components such as policies, procedures, processes, standards, and tools, and enterprise implementation.
  • Contribute and interact positively and persuasively with the enterprise to create the awareness and importance of the Program.  Be an ILM Ambassador.
  • Support the VP of IG in activities related to facilitating the ILM Governance structure and network throughout the global enterprise.
  • Support the VP of IG in activities related to leading the ILM Governance Board that consists of senior leaders that are responsible to govern the ILM Program from a strategic perspective.


  • Ten years of experience in Records Management, Information Management, Information Systems or related field, preferably in a global corporate environment.
  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry. Insurance industry is desired but not required.
  • Experience working with all levels of leadership in a global enterprise.
  • Leadership experience in all aspects of ILM for a minimum of four years at a large corporate entity.
  • Experience working with regulatory and legal information management requirements as they relate to information, data and records requirements regardless of the media type.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, articulate program goals, and provide leadership to all levels of corporate staff and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Law or Business degree.  Law or advanced business degree desirable.
