Role Summary

Responsible for Marketing for Nationwide Pet, a $350M DWP business with 600K PIF and growing at ~15% annually. Develop and execute marketing channel strategies for the group, eBusiness, consumer, and referral channels. Provide advice and counsel to the executive team members of Nationwide Pet regarding business strategy, go-to-market strategy, innovation, member experience, and tactical initiatives. Maintain #1 market share position in pet insurance industry by providing innovative products, outstanding member experience, and the best overall value for members.

Key Responsibilities

(20%) - Strategic Leadership: Gain deep pet owner, veterinarian, and employers segment understanding. Define the customer experience, value proposition, and strategy required to drive profitable growth. Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships, including new opportunities with the Nationwide brand and Nationwide distribution channels.

(35%) - Marketing: Utilize customer, market, product, and competitor insight and data to define and execute "personalized member experience" as a point of differentiation, driving improved leads, conversion, and CEM.

(20%) - Deliver Results: Develop and execute strategic initiatives that enhance the value we bring to members and veterinarians, increase their enthusiasm for Nationwide as the #1 provider of pet insurance, and drive profitable growth and improved retention.

(25%) - People and Organizational Development: Develop a superior segment-focused marketing team that brings entrepreneurial new thinking, passion, discipline, and excellence in execution to the business.

Education/Certification/Licenses

Bachelor or graduate degree

Experience/Skills

Minimum 15 years' strategy development, business / marketing experience, and large initiative execution. Pet, insurance, and banking experience a plus.

Strong leadership, strategic planning, organizational development, relationship and communication skills.

Job Conditions

Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt)

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
