: The Global Technology Vendor Management Office is a newly created organization tasked with supporting MetLife Enterprise Application Development (EAD), Enterprise Infrastructure & Architecture (EI&A) and Regional Application Development (RAD) organizations through a centralized supplier management function. The organization manages vendor relationships across the entire technology organization, working closely with the procurement office, but operating as a separate entity within Global Technology & Operations (GTO).
The AVP, Strategic IT Vendor Management will lead the team of category leads (software, hardware, telecom and niche) who are responsible for managing IT suppliers in a structured and coordinated way to ensure high-value cost effective IT service delivery and performance while reducing vendor related risk.
Direct responsibility for building and cultivating partnerships with key strategic IT vendors (service and supplier). Provides direction for and reviews vendor activities by category, ensuring that the vendor's performance meets expectations. The position requires a team player who can work effectively with the multiple functional heads of the IT organization as well as key stakeholders, such as procurement (sourcing), legal, and risk. Will assist Head of VMO organization create business strategy and managing vendor demand, operational and financial performance.
