Since 1975, Park Plaza Hospital has been offering complete medical services, including surgery as well as outpatient, imaging and rehabilitation. Plaza Specialty Hospital, a hospital within a hospital, has been providing long-term acute care to those needing prolonged hospitalization and recovery since 1994.
Park Plaza/Plaza Specialty Hospital is currently looking for a Bariatric Program Manager-Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities:
Performs the primary function of a professional leader in assessing, planning, organizing, directing and evaluating program activities on a 24-hour basis, in accordance with facility policies, philosophy, objectives and standards. The position is responsible for managing supplies and equipment for the bariatric/surgical weight loss patients and for promoting teamwork with physicians, staff, and patients. Maintains a well-equipped working environment and provides continuing growth opportunities that allow for the achievement of maximum productivity and satisfaction. Leads and coaches the development and growth of a safety culture in the department.Qualifications: Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited nursing school
- Current RN licensure in state of Texas; CPR from the American Heart Association required.
- 5 years of clinical experience required with 1 year of critical care experience strongly preferred. Previous experience with Bariatrics minimum of 2 year required. Will consider candidates with 6 year's clinical experience outside of the critical care setting.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills are essential to work with the various participants in the program. Strong teaching skills are also desirable coupled with empathy .
