As a Benefits Analyst - U.S. Health & Welfare Plan, in Gaithersburg, MD, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Benefit Analyst will focus primarily on the US Health & Welfare plans and will ensure the day to day administration of the plans, working with our outsourced providers, and will escalate potential issues and assist in the resolution.
In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to undertake day to day administration of Health & Welfare benefits, maintain relationships with providers, acting as a first point of call for queries, and undertake analytical analysis and reporting to ensure maintenance of benefit provisions and provide insights for AZ benefit reviews. You will participate as a project team member to deliver projects, including annual enrollment, provide day-to-day support and responses to routine benefit questions, or more complex inquiries related to the Health & Welfare plans, including employee and retiree queries, and provide support in the communication of benefits both within and outside the HR teams. This position supports the Benefits Manager - US Health & Welfare.

- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 4 to 6 years of employee benefits experience
- Experience in the day to day administration of US Health & Welfare plans
- Working knowledge of state and federal health care regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and/or priorities with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Self-motivated with proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Strong computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong Analytical skills
