Position Description
- Key programs like PTI Analytics, Insights, Datalake are running on Hadoop platform. Need to build internal Engineering expertise to lead architecture and design of big data applications.
- Senior big data and open source resources are not internally available
- Need to build FTE based big data expertise to retain critical knowledge base internally

Required Skills
Strong design and development experience in Big Data solutions and Hadoop Ecosystem such as Map-Reduce, YARN, Spark, Impala, Kafka, Solr, PIG, Hive, HUE, CM, CN
Expertise in batch and real-time data flow design
Knowledge of one of the Statistical Modeling Languages: R, Python, Strata
Expert in Unix
Hands-on experience in one or more of Programming languages: Java/Scala/Python
Expert in data analysis
Proficient in analytical and problem solving ability
Good knowledge in data warehousing designs and technology
Good understating of statistical modeling
