Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Billing/Collections Representative position in Schaumburg, IL! This is a long term opportunity for the right person. DESCRIPTION:

Bill Inpatient Claims
Check claim status
Analyze claim denials
Escalating account issues to appropriate departments
Call payers to demand payment on unpaid accounts
Provide support for accounting and/or finance staff as needed.
Data entry
Report generation and distribution
May also work with accounts payable/receivables
Compile, classify, record, verify and maintain data and payments to accounts payable and receivable records



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to perform the tasks as described
High school diploma or equivalent
Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school with courses in accounting, finance or business highly desirable
Computer proficiency with experience in Excel and Word required
Excellent written/verbal communication and phone skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3 or more years of combined experience in healthcare administration, billing / collections, customer service, call center, and data entry
Experience with Medical Terminology


WORKING CONDITIONS:

The work is mostly non-confined sitting (employee is free to move about).
Work is conducted on the telephone and computer terminal.
Visual as well as mental concentration requiring the ability to handle situations under stress is applied.
Exposure to risk on the job is limited.
