A Branch Engineer job is available in Laurel, MD courtesy of Adecco Engineering & Technology. You will provide branches and customers with timely, safe and efficient engineering application solutions utilizing available resources through the client's distribution network.
Branch Engineer Job Responsibilities:
Estimates work load to establish completion dates and track backlog.
In cooperation with Corporate Engineering/Division/VP/Regional Manager/Branch Manager and Sales Representatives, select the appropriate equipment relative to customer needs.
Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to branches through telephone, e-mail, drawings, bill of material support and site visits.
Perform all engineering services in accordance with accepted engineering practices and Federal, State and Local codes and regulations.
With assistance from Corporate/Regional Engineering, ensure full compliance of all projects with company wide engineering practices and procedures.
Initiate, verify and ensure that all technical drawings, calculations, bills of material and other applicable project documents are current, accurate and complete.
Provide field technical supervision and/or training upon request.
B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural or Construction Engineering.
P.E. License preferred.
2-4 years of structural design experience in a fast paced environment involved with the construction industry, preferably with scaffolds, shoring, and motorized construction hoists and elevating work platforms.
Experience in managing and supervising designers and drafters would be a plus.
Must be proficient in the use of computers, including 3D AutoCAD and Finite Element/Structural Analysis software programs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must.
Position may require minimal travel within the region, less than 25% of the time.
