Position Description:
Responsible for supporting the Commissioning Program execution for multiple client sites primarily within the NY Region.

Scope of Role:
Lead engineer responsible for the execution of the commissioning tasks on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the client relationship on high profile accounts
  • Provide expert subject matter knowledge in support of project needs.
  • Manage the proposed service within the approved budget with the manpower assigned to exceed client's expectations
  • Support service requests for technical expertise as it pertains to satisfying client goals and service commitments
  • Lead client meetings and demonstrate expert level of technical capabilities
  • Technically lead the execution of building commissioning projects
  • Review HVAC, controls and/or electrical plans and specifications
  • Participate in commissioning meetings
  • Perform submittals reviews
  • Complete commissioning test forms and equipment checklists
  • Independently, perform field inspections, equipment startups, test and balance activities, and functional performance tests
  • Prepare commissioning reports and maintain commissioning issues lists
  • Responsible for the technical quality and accuracy of work provided
  • Responsible for personal time management on assigned projects
  • Planning for project activities and keeping accurate records of project activities
  • Communication with other staff including Engineers and Administration Staff


  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or Technical Related Field
  • Commissioning Certification Preferred (BCA, ASHRAE, UoW or AEE)
  • 6+ years of experience in the building systems industry or with the identification, analysis, and/or implementation of energy efficiency projects or programs is preferred with a minimum of 4 years of direct commissioning industry experience.
