This position will provide cross-market support functions across both regional and local markets in a field office.




This strategic and analytical position within GTO – RIS Operations coordinates with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Internal and External Auditors, and Industry Regulators, as well as other business units and technology partners to support our risk and control environment. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining our internal and external audit plan; supporting our First Line of Defense model with internal partners; and for developing and maintaining a production support governance model that allows us to understand and control the risk inherent in our business and in our processes/systems. 


This position utilizes business risk and operational expertise to support the operation through engagement and direct exposure with Global Operations senior leaders, RIS Operations leaders, RIS business partners, process owners, clients and vendors to support RIS operations initiatives. Participates on all strategy formulation sessions and acts as an all-around strategic and operational advisor.



Principal Responsibilities:


The candidate will manage the overall Services Agreement between MetLife and BHF to include:

  • Metrics reporting - Act as the primary client contact; communicates top risks, metrics, and any other reporting with the client. Provide Operational metrics reports on a monthly basis to our appointed Brighthouse contact; and be the focal point to research and reply to any queries.
  • Ad Hoc reports – If Metrics, or other reports are requested by Brighthouse, be the project manager to research and reply if we are willing to accommodate the special request (to include a cost structure).
  • Maintains and develops an ongoing relationship with key business contacts. Partner with the Reserves, Accounting etc. to gather any needed data outside of transactional metrics to ensure accurate information regarding total payments is provided.
  • Key Point of Contact in developing action plans to resolve control issues or risks; handles the resolution of high risk issues with management.

  • Oversight of our actions to ensure that assigned business units processes are consistent with company policy and insurance and securities rules and regulations; identifying issues and concerns for which you will develop, coordinate and implement management action plans with various constituents.  Develop, recommend, implement and follow up on corrective controls.
  • Assists in the identification, development or refinement of key internal and end user computing (EUC) controls which may include the need to re-engineering processes and documenting business processes.
  • Oversight over the IT platform Incident Management and reporting process.
  • Development and maintenance of the Records Information Management (RIM)/Electronic Record Keeping (ERK) process.



  • Bachelor Degree
  • 5 years business experience



  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able maneuver within multiple complex systems at same time.
  • Strong product knowledge and underwriting skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to work well with others as well as independently.
  • Able to solve problems and think creatively.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities to recommend new product offerings.
