Business Analysis Manager

This person filling this position will be part of a group of very technically capable business analysts and data professionals. The role involves investigating data sources, assessing strengths and trade-offs of different data solutions, implementing data solutions for new business needs, and communicating changes and developments to other team members and managers. The person will interact with developers, data architects, marketing analysts, and managers.§ Minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience in progressive roles requiring excellent technical skills, with proven ability to frame unstructured and complex technical problems in a major subscriber-based business.
§ Specific experience in:
o Data warehousing implementation (Requirements, data modeling, ETL)
o Translation of data into actionable and meaningful information
  • Specifications and design of data-based solutions to ambiguous business questions
§ Strong knowledge with:
o Using two of these specific RDBMS platforms: SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle. ETL tools to build repeatable ETL processes (ex. Sql Server SSIS/DTS, Informatica PowerCenter, Teradata BTEQ/TPT)
o Ability to interpret ERD's, data flow models, and other technical documents.
o 2+ years with Massively Parallel Processing systems (MPP)
o 1+ year operational/application support role
o Unix and Windows/NT operating systems
§ Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fieldThe team structures and uses enterprise data in such as was as to enable decision analysis regarding major enterprise and brand level trade-offs. Designs implemented are evolving, modular and consist in a high performance customer -centric analytic database infrastructure layer that covers all the brands of the enterprise and include economically relevant components.

Design and create data sets and processes to support and unify data from many different brands in the business enterprise and communicate those designs. Reconciles differences in how different brands view information. Work with often dirty or poorly structured information to provide reliable fault-tolerant automated processes.
Develop a portfolio of reusable processes and techniques for manipulating and transferring data.
Adapt legacy concepts, processes and data to new and growing systems, brands, and products.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data systems and methods as well as enterprise products and processes in order to improve, reengineer or maintain company information.
