Business System Analyst, Assistant Vice President

The Finance Risk Infrastructure Business Solutions Team (FRIBS) is responsible for providing business and technology solutions for our Finance and Risk business partners. This role will require familiarity with many different finance functions and will directly support the Finance Planning and Analytics team within finance. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to interact with many different business areas within the bank.

Business Systems Analyst, AVP

The Business Systems Analyst, AVP will perform business/systems analysis for various Finance, Planning and Analysis projects. This individual will liaise with the project sponsors stakeholders external vendors and other divisions within State Street to ensure the delivery of quality products within the expected timeframes. This individual must demonstrate subject matter understanding ability to perform business/systems analysis and create documentation that ensures that our development solutions are successfully implemented. This individual must be able to work under minimal direction while keeping management and team members apprised of issues and project status.
  • Independently compile, analyze and interpret information related to complex business/system processing
  • Clear, complete and accurate documentation of user requirements and functional specifications
  • Identify and understand relationships among problems, issues, and data.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and various development teams
  • Document project requirements using clear, concise language, consistent with the appropriate methodologies
  • Run meetings/workshops to explain and walk through business requirements
  • Define and deliver test strategy, plans, and scripts
  • Responsible for problem solving and issue resolution
  • Define and document system interface requirements for other external systems

  • Bachelor's Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent, CFA a plus
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in financial services technical projects
  • Knowledge of balance sheet financial products
  • Knowledge of the systems development process
  • Attention to detail and problem solving a must
  • Excellent system and functional testing capabilities
  • Excellent (clear and concise) verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with business and systems personnel
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools Word, Excel, Project, and Visio is required
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum Software Development Framework a plus
