Amgen is seeking an Associate IS (Information Systems) Business Analyst to join our talented Research Informatics team at its Thousand Oaks, CA site. This role will support the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) Service which delivers and maintains high availability ELN solutions for recording experiment data and concepts for global Research users.
The Research Informatics team supports Discovery Research and Translational Research organizations globally with innovative IS solutions to accelerate and grow Amgen's pipeline of biopharmaceuticals.

Provide support and oversight for Electronic Lab Notebook solutions used by Research scientists at Amgen
Ensure effective communication between scientific area management, technical staff and vendors to analyze scientific needs and implement informatics solutions
Partner with colleagues to develop state-of-the-art scientific solutions for Amgen scientists
Provide technical support of Amgen's drug discovery Research software application platforms
OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Information Systems and/or Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences experience
OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Information Systems and/or Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Life Science or Engineering with 1+ years of experience in Software Development or Business Analysis
Strong learning agility, innovation, and problem solving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of or experience in Life, Physical or Computational Sciences
Background and experience in drug discovery and development
Experience in Database fundamentals, SDLC-software development life cycle, and Agile software development methodology
