Serves as a project liaison between the business sponsor and the service delivery organizations to understand and document user needs and transform those needs into requirements that will be used to deploy solutions that will meet the sponsor’s objectives. Communicates and educates the service delivery organizations on the business objectives being pursued. Will provide complex analysis services translating user needs into detailed specifications.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Analyzes business partner's operations (Systems, Resources, and Processes) to understand their strengths and weaknesses and identify opportunities to automate processes and functions
Generate requirements documentation, with minimal direction, through facilitated work sessions or individual interviews with sponsors and stakeholders and manage changes to those requirements.
Ability to reconcile requirements from multiple groups to ensure all needs are accounted for and are traced back to the business objectives.
Will develop expertise in the business unit(s) they support as well as an understanding of the organization's systems and capabilities.
Assists in the business process design and documentation as needed for new technology
Facilitate and participate in discussions, which may include to ensure that solutions with multiple alternatives have been evaluated and are able to meet business requirements.
Facilitates discussions in order to obtain agreements and commitments between business unit(s) and service delivery organizations from initial requirements to final implementation
Supports moderately complex business processes
Assists Project Managers in development of project plans and use associated project planning tools as needed
May assume the Project Manager responsibilities in preparing and facilitating the project plan for smaller projects
Conducts feasibility studies to assess cost/benefit, efficiency and technical viability of solutions to business problems
Mentor Business Analysts to become more proficient in methods and processes
Skills/Ability and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Broad knowledge of development tools, application frameworks, and testing tools
Broad knowledge of OSS applications and software
Broad knowledge of choosing the appropriate lifecycle and the planning, monitoring and control of the systems engineering process
Good understanding of core business processes and service delivery capabilities.
Demonstrable understanding of business analysis and process design skills.
Good understanding of business process re-engineering.
Good Understanding of Return on Investment (ROI) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and how they are defined.
Strong ability to translate and communicate business needs into technical terms.
Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.
Strong Ability to analyze and interpret data.
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
Ability to define key performance indicators/metrics.

Ability to document, prepare, and present data-driven presentations using common word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software.
Basic understanding of project management software.
Education, Certification & Licenses
Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical field or equivalent work experience.
Related Work Experience
3 to 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience
