Job Overview:

The Business Analytics Specialist is the business point person supporting strategic and tactical analytics to make better informed business decisions in areas of sales, warehouse management, and inventory management. This position will facilitate user adoption of enterprise analysis tools within the business community. In addition this role is responsible for defining reports, dashboards, and scorecards that support metrics and KPI's established by the leadership team.

Job Responsibilities:
•Document defined key metrics that will be used for measurements of operational efficiency and profitability.
•Establish high-level business requirements, including dashboards and reporting metrics.
•Research issues and data discrepancies and facilitate process changes (internal and external to MWI) to ensure data integrity and quality.
•Ownership of existing and new data sourcing processes, internal and external to MWI.
•Escalate unresolved data discrepancies as appropriate to the manager or VP.
•Fulfill ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
•Work with business stakeholders to recommend system modifications and facilitate user acceptance testing and implementation of these changes.
•Assists the leadership team with special projects as needed.

Minimum Experience and Education:
A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent field of study. Two years of experience in SQL query language is desired. Working knowledge of data delivery protocols such as FTP and EDI and analytical tools such as Tableau is desired. Proficiency with MS Excel advanced functions is required.

Demonstrated technical aptitude, including database concepts and familiarity with database query concepts. Understanding of data stewardship and data governance principles. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously. Ability to recognize and translate commonalities, trends, and anomalies within large diverse data sets into business insights.
