GE Lighting NA Consumer Team has an opening for a Business Development Leader to lead and drive the growth by prospecting and going after new business. This individual will work cross functionally to develop strategies that will ensure successful new account generation and build relationships that develop important partnerships between customers and GE Lighting.
Key Responsibilities Include :
+ Develop and execute a vision and strategy focused on sales growth, target "white space" opportunities by mapping out new customers and channels
+ Build a sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and closing prospects utilizing outcome selling
+ Lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making process, and overcome objections to capture new business opportunities
+ Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop specific value-based customer proposals
+ Build customer relationships by understanding desired outcome and develop solutions leveraging all the necessary resources
+ Develop and Execute a marketing campaign to build continued awareness with prospects
+ Attend trade shows and channel specific conferences
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university or college
+ Minimum of 7 years of Sales experience in a customer facing environment
+ Minimum of 3 years of Consumer Product Goods experience
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :
+ Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time
+ MBA from an accredited university or college
+ Comfortable working as a team player and having - all in the "boat" together mindset
+ Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to influence & convince stakeholders and customers at all levels of an organization
+ Ability to take complex problems and utilize critical thinking skills to develop compiling solutions
