Overview
General Description:
The Communications Vertical Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for leading and aligning TEKsystems professional services capabilities to the Communications Vertical. The BDM will be responsible for building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships with major Communications companies in Atlanta, GA as well as major Communications cities on the East Coast of the US. Due to the nature of how the customers purchase Services, the BDM should also be prepared to travel to additional locations outside of the Atlanta Market. The BDM must be able to clearly articulate Global Services' capabilities and service value to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
Duties of the Role Include :
  • Develop value positions that align TEKsystems Global Services in the Communications Industry
  • Intimate understanding of the business drivers that lead to IT initiatives specific to the Communications Industry
  • Create and execute a business development strategy for markets supported
  • Work effectively with Pre-Sales and Delivery Resources during sales cycle
  • Work effectively with National Sales leadership and sales partners across markets
  • Develop negotiating strategies; examine risks and potentials; estimate customers' objectives
  • Quarterback the development and presentation of solutions/proposals
  • Drive Business Development efforts directly with Customers on a regular basis
  • Navigate and operate effectively in a matrix sales organization
  • Collaborate with other sellers in targeted customer set
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; develop and negotiate contracts and integrate contract requirements with business operations
  • Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers
  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal stake holders.


Qualifications
Requisite Experience:

  • Experience selling IT professional services into the Communications industry - Applications, Network and Infrastructure
  • Direct experience with Wireless or Integrated Communications Companies
  • Experience selling diversified IT services onshore, nearshore and/or offshore
  • Proven ability to engage at an executive (SVP/CXO) level and advise/influence customer investments
  • Bring solid Executive and Director level relationships to TEKsystems Global Services

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
  • Sales SME in the Communications industry
  • Ability to assess competitive landscape
  • Great business acumen inside the Services and Communications Industries
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical with persuasive and interpersonal skills
