Our Southwest Florida (Fort Myers) Gartner Campus is our largest office globally with 1,700 associates across four buildings. About this role:
The Business Development Manager Role is responsible for managing a territory and selling Gartner’s Research based services to C level Executives and there direct reports. In this role you will prospect for and close 100% Net New Business and then transition closed business to Gartner’s Account Management teams to ensure retention of the relationship.

What you’ll do: 
  • Act as a strategic partner to C-level and senior executives and focus purely on establishing new business relationships with non-client organizations within an assigned prospecting territory
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Be responsible for strategically selling Gartner’s advisory services to midmarket organizations or emerging technology organizations


Job Requirements:
What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-7 years proven consultative B2B sales experience
  • Proven experience in closing enterprise-wide complex sales solutions, by structuring innovative, integrated solutions that provide IT decision makers value and support in achieving their business goals
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others in the organization with no direct reporting relationship
  • Comprehensive understanding of technology buying centers
  • Demonstrated presentation/written skills at an executive level
  • Possess a high level of professionalism and integrity which builds trustworthy relationships both internally with Gartner colleagues and externally with prospective clients
Who you are:
  • Ability to articulate a strong value proposition of Research at the executive level
  • Ability to problem solve by thinking and acting quickly on your feet
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with new clients; relationships should be developed at the C-level and with other key stakeholders
