Due to significant growth opportunities in our markets we are seeking to fill Business Development Specialist position in our Rosemount Aerospace Sensors business located in Burnsville MN.
This BD role is accountable to develop and implement new business development plans and pursuit capture strategies. Ensure fulfillment of new business growth objectives. Create and have full understanding of business case for new business and alignment to portfolio and product line strategies.
A successful candidate will also possess the analytical skills to process historical and forward-looking customer and market trends in the pursuit of maximizing the strong growth projected for this customer base
Level of Responsibility:
Foster positive customer relationships and act as an advocate/liaison between various internal functions and UTC Aerospace Systems central customer management
Responsible to satisfy customer expectations for high quality, on-time proposals
Analyze new business opportunities to develop and lead new pursuit campaigns
Drive business growth through new business wins, capturing market share and pricing strategies
Identify potential new product development opportunities based on customer and market solution needs
Forecast future customer needs through data analysis using historical and forward looking market trends
Lead teams in the development of winning proposals
Qualification: 5+ years business development, sales, and/or program management or engineering experience preferably in aerospace industry
Strong history developing successful business relationships with aerospace customers
Previous aerospace sensor product knowledge is a plus
Aptitude to learn Rosemount product portfolio is a requirement
Proven track record of closing business deals and maintaining positive long-term business relationships
Successful in leading teams in the development of high-quality proposals
Highly proficient writing skills required to develop winning customer proposals
Exceptional analytical skills, including but not limited to the use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel)
Ability to develop and communicate reverse/forward looking market trends in an effort to maximize customer support and business in hand
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and navigate the approval process required to offer compliant solutions
Willingness to travel up to 10% including internationally
Education: BA/BS degree with 5+ years' experience
MBA/MS degree with 3+ years' experience
