Wells Fargo Small Business Lending Group is the country’s leading small business lender to serve the diverse credit needs of small business owners, from Sole Proprietors to Corporations, whether they just started their businesses or they have been running the businesses for many years. We offer business credit cards, lines of credit and term loans, either unsecured or collateralized by account receivables, equipment, real estate or deposits. Our line of business operates with an entrepreneurial spirit and is dedicated to operational excellence, team member development and redefining possibilities.

Business leader will be responsible for execution and planning for the next-generation small business commercial lending underwriting system and the associated technologies and services. Partner with the Loan Operations, Risk Management and Technology teams to build a services framework that supports the overall execution of Small Business Lending’s underwriting transformation.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading cross-functional team to support execution of overall strategy.
  • Process improvement and redesign.
  • Leads consultants and analysts to support strategy execution.
  • Closely partner with EIT and Small Business Lending Operations groups to ensure flawless implementation of strategy changes or testing in the application process.
  • Contribute to the roadmap for new underwriting platform. Align roadmap with Enterprise Information Technology TOM.

Locations: Phoenix, Charlotte

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
  • 4+ years of information technology experience

  • Experience consulting with internal clients and business
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Ability to influence management on technical or business solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of all phases of project development and testing lifecycle
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
