JOB SUMMARY: The role of the BI Specialist is to design, implement and support business intelligence solutions, maximize information worker productivity through information availability and provide support and the information needed for optimizing business processes. This individual must have a successful track record of developing robust BI Data Warehousing solutions primarily using Microsoft SQL Server. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology Candidate must demonstrate strong software development skills and be able to communicate well with our team and external consultants. 5+ years of experience in T-SQL SQL Server 2008/2012 (complex Store Procedures, scripts and Functions). 3+ years of experience building Data Warehouses using SSIS for SQL Server 2008/2012. Thorough understanding of Data Warehouse architecture and dimensional modelling using star and snowflake Schema and Kimball approach. Excellent data analysis and data profiling experience. Excellent documenting skills Ability to communicate complex technical details to team, management and non-technical people. ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience building Qlik Sense applications/visualizations is desired Experience with Oracle environments including PL/SQL development is a plus Experience working with WhereScape RED data warehouse automation tool is a plus Experience building BI solutions for finance, manufacturing and distribution industry
