The Business Intelligence Manager will be an integral part of the ACO Partner team, building required infrastructure and automating reports, KPIs and dashboards, collecting data from various sources, summarizing, analyzing data and providing insight into the data to facilitate decision making to improve service delivery, improve quality and reduce costs.
The Business Intelligence Manager position extracts, analyzes and interprets health utilization and cost data from multiple sources, including payer claims data and clinical data. This data is used to support business decisions regarding healthcare quality and costs. This role requires technical and analytical skills with strong report writing, presentation and communication skills.
This role will plan, manage and control the activities of a team of analysts that provides business intelligence support for the ACO business.
Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.

Development of a suite of actionable dashboards and reporting that measure performance against key quality metrics/benchmarks and aid in decision-making for various audiences including providers, senior ACOP leadership, and health plan / client senior leadership. 20%
Act as an internal consultant to work across key stakeholders to gather data, perform analysis, routine reporting and creation of standards of reporting to be used throughout the organization. Work with stakeholders and business users to define business reporting requirements and to ensure data consistency and quality. 5%
Key member of internal team to support ACO Partner instance of Risk Manager technology and related reporting. 5%
5+ years of experience and 2+ years of managerial experience
3-5 years’ experience in healthcare analytics, preferably in a managed care/accountable care environment working with healthcare claims data.
Advanced knowledge/proficiency in analytical tools such as MS Excel and MS Access. An advanced knowledge of business intelligence applications (e.g., Business Objects Webi Reporting), data warehousing concepts and SQL required.
Healthcare analytics background required.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with well-developed oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with health plan representatives, physicians, and other professional personnel in a tactful, informed and customer oriented manner.
Demonstrates sound judgment, prioritization, decision-making and problem solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with all aspects of information required.
Ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams.
Able to adjust to multiple shifting priorities and respond to critical needs as they may arise.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of ICD10-/ICD9-CM and CPT coding preferred.
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience required. 4-year degree in Finance or Computer Science. Advanced degree a plus. 5-6 years’ business intelligence analytics experience required.
