MCIO is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.

We are looking for a passionate, high energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services. Within MCIO, the Datacenter Execution (DCX) team is looking to fill a critical and high-profile role. DCX is responsible for delivering datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects with specific safety, quality, schedule and cost goals.

As the Business Manager for DCX you will partner closely with the Leadership Team to develop and execute the group’s overall business operations including strategic planning, ROB development and execution, communication and storytelling strategy, and significant reporting & analytics to inform decisions.

Key responsibilities will include:

Establish efficient operational cadence to review each teams? progress against goals, objectives and shared commitments

Develop and deliver effective whitepapers, PowerPoints and other communication vehicles

Understand the broader landscape and effectively build and manage influential relationships at all levels

Execution cadence (e.g., staff meetings, organizational metrics/scorecard, budgeting, fiscal planning, reviews, commitments, etc.)

Deliver processes and tools in conjunction with Finance that facilitates a consolidated view of team budget and headcount

Partner with leadership to increase employee engagement and drive internal communications

Lead and participate in special projects as needed

Qualified candidates should have the following skills/experience:

At least 5+ years of experience in business management or global project management experience, to include project/program/finance.

Experience in leading and driving complex projects with multiple workstreams spanning different business and technical disciplines.

Ability to work independently with initiative and cross-functionally without authority.

Strong problem solving skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.

Excellent cross-group collaboration and effective verbal and communication skills.

Demonstrated virtual team leadership capabilities and ability to work effectively within all levels of the organization.

Manages confidentiality without exception; demonstrates outstanding judgment.

Excellent oral / written communication skills and organization skills \Advanced PowerPoint and Excel proficiency

Four year degree in a related business or technical discipline. MBA is a plus.
