Business Operations Consultant - Isilon
The Isilon organization is looking for a collaborative and strategically oriented operations professional to join the Business Operations team. The Consultant level, Business Operations leader will be responsible for working with Isilon’s corporate management team to identify, develop and prepare information to assist in managing the business function. They will perform highly insightful operational analyses and make recommendations to executive management on the reporting of key functional data and KPIs.
The ideal candidate has experience establishing an operating plan and analyzing business performance metrics/KPIs for a growing software, hardware and/or cloud-enabled business. Your analyses will guide the Isilon executive team in initiatives and portfolio management that have the greatest impact in a high growth business. Your key stakeholders include the SVP of Isilon, VP of Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Product Management, Services, Manufacturing Operations, and Customer Experience.
This role is for a dynamic individual who wants to join an innovative, fast paced team located in Seattle’s Pioneer Square, redefining the multi-Billion dollar storage landscape in scalable storage.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
+ Leads the development of operational measurements. Provides consultative assistance to business management through data analysis and reporting
+ Supports operational management in the development and analysis of key metrics and statistics to optimize efficiency of operational resources
+ Prepares reports and conducts trending analysis/root cause analysis. Analyzes processes and makes recommendations for improvement. Drives initiatives in support of the approved recommendations.
+ Participates in strategic discussions and represents business operations in strategic initiatives, providing the necessary input and analytics around business intelligence
+ Provide business case review and preparation support as needed
+ Demonstrates strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to move quickly from insight to action
+ Strong ability to collaborate in a matrixed team environment
+ Sharp business judgment, ability to see "big picture" and to prioritize
+ Financial and analytical ability
+ Ability to work independently
+ Executive presence, with strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Knowledge of job associated databases, software, and/or documentation
Education Required: Bachelors (non-technical); MBA desired
Experience Required: 7+ years experience in operations or planning, preferably in the software industry
