The Business Operations Manager supports the Software Manufacturing and Distribution department, a global organization in Oracle. This role primary deals with aspects of Managerial Accounting, Month End Close, Budgeting and Forecasting and Logistics. The Business Operations Manager is responsible for controlling the accuracy and integrity of Software Manufacturing and Distribution's financial information.

Job duties are varied and complex requiring independent judgment. Attention to detail is critical. Ability to work through others to collect, organize and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from direct, internal and third-parties and have data errors/omissions correct. Manage logistics and freight billing team. Management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with individual contributors and management desired.
Organizes and handles a variety of logistics inquiries and issues. Serves as liaison between Global Trade Compliance (GTC), carriers and operations teams to resolve daily customs / shipments inquiries and issues. Review and update logistics and Business Operations procedures to ensure accuracy to meet business requirements. Identify logistics areas for process improvement and cost savings. Manage a team of Business Operations Analysts and provide guidance.
Demonstrated ability to independently prepare miscellaneous financial analysis with accuracy and within an established time frame
Ability to communicate complex issues in a concise, clear manner
Demonstrated interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationship with all levels of internal and external contacts
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Budget creation and management of annual budget cycle
Demonstrated leadership skills and/or previous supervisory experience
3-5 years experience
BA/BS degree - MBA Preferred

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency. Provides business practices and processes. Drives policies and procedures that monitor and support the organization*s operational and financial business objectives. Provides analysis and advice to management in the areas of operations, resource management, finance, revenue accounting, pricing, and/or contracts. May also be responsible for administration, knowledge management, and/or communications.
Develops and monitor PandL forecasts. Develops and monitor metrics to measure other key performance indicators and group performance. Performs competitive analysis. Creates pricing strategy and cost accounting (business modeling) for projects. Reviews contracts for terms, pricing and approvals. Work with account team to close deals. Interfaces with client to resolve contract/delivery disputes. May be responsible for directing resource management staff, ensuring maximum utilization. May be involved with compensation and bonus process. Manage at least two direct reports.
Coordinates the daily activities of a work group, setting priorities to ensure task completion. Provides technical/functional leadership as well as first line supervision, but does not have hire/fire authority. BA/BS degree preferred.
