POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing the pipeline and execution of projects and portfolios for client programs with both internal and external integration points. Plans, monitors and manages internal Operations assigned projects from initiation through completion to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. Executes high quality, integrated cross-functional plans for projects applying best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects. Responsible for meeting Lash Group Business Objectives and supports continuous improvement.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for developing annual client-specific project plans, overall project delivery, driving projects to meet key milestones, drive accountability and removing obstacles on multiple concurrent projects.
  2. Secures appropriate internal and external resources for execution of project portfolio (i.e. Utilizing PM Pool, Solution Architects and other resources as needed).
  3. Defines business requirements in collaboration with operations team for both IT and BI
  4. Identifies the need for funding and partners with Operations Director/VP to secure funding for internal resources/investments
  5. Responsible for prioritizing IT and BI projects to ensure focus on highest priority items, coordinating IT and BI deliverables, and submitting requests for IT and BI activity
  6. Monitors IT escalations and Production Support issues regarding impact to business
  7. Understands business processes and goals of one or more client accounts or internal business partner and partnering with them to plan and manage their portfolio of work.
  8. Oversight of all User Acceptance Testing to include planning, execution and sign-off
  9. Partners with operations and strategic account management in client communications and meetings: provide client updates related to program roadmap/IT pipeline, standing client meetings, support SAMs with EBRs, and supports operations director/SAM with IT escalations.
  10. Documents, monitors, plans, and highlights anticipated risks and issues.
  11. Formulates recovery plans or assessing impact if not recoverable and escalates as appropriate.
  12. Records and monitors project actual costs vs. project budget.
  13. Responsible for proactively identifying variances to plan and developing appropriate mitigation plans.
  14. Formulates corrective actions when project deliverables deviate from the work plan with the assistance of team members.
  15. Understands how project decisions impact key business metrics and the enterprise strategy.
  16. Builds consensus among team relative to project scope, task execution, staffing and issue resolution.
  17. Provides clear and reliable communications to internal teams, project stakeholders, external vendors, and customers.
  18. Uses multiple media formats.
  19. Effectively conveys information and ideas.
  20. Provides input to decisions through effective communication methods.

  36. Determines the best approach for the projects being managed.
  37. Makes recommendations for improving efficiency, product delivery and expense reduction in projects.
  38. Defines and understands the objectives and the scope of the project.



Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of 7 to 10 years of applicable work experience, including 7 or more years managing projects. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. In lieu of a degree equivalent work experience will be considered. Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is desired.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Advanced understanding of project management methodologies and core components. PMI methodologies preferred.
  2. Basic understanding of PMIS Systems (i.e Clarity and Microsoft Project).
  3. Able to analyze target audiences, construct communication plans and artifacts that can effectively address their needs, and deliver effective communications up-to and including internal and external C-level executives.
  4. Able to use common project management tools to determine how the intersection of multiple projects impacts the critical path, baseline, resource constraints, costs and budget of the team.
  5. Able to model different mitigation plans and make recommendations.
  6. Able to extract the information from common tools and team members to analyze intersecting projects and team level allocations.
  7. Able to prepare a complex schedule inclusive of dependencies and resourcing within project management tools and can use that tool to manage timelines and budget.
  8. Able to use communication features (Timeline, Gantt charts, etc) for stakeholder updates when needed.
  9. General knowledge of reimbursement and patient assistance programs and database elements and functionality; operational policies and processes, particularly distribution processes / interfaces
  10. Can use Outlook to schedule meetings with internal and external resources in multiple locations.
  11. When needed, utilizes the information in MS Excel as part of a tool kit that communicates project level information based on the needs of the project.
  12. Within MS Excel works with multiple worksheets, filters data, functions, pivot tables.
  13. Able to create presentations in MS PowerPoint to present complex ideas in a way that is easily understood by the team.
  14. Able to create documents in MS Word to present complex ideas in a way that is easily understood by the team.
  15. Able to create diagrams in MS Visio to present complex ideas in a way that is easily understood by the team.
  16. Able to lift up to 25lbs.
  17. Able to work in a seated position for extended periods of time.
  18. Able to travel up to 25% and at times with short notice.
