Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Business Quality Senior Quality Engineer located in at one of the JJVC locations (Jacksonville, FL, USA; Sunbury on Thames, England; São Paulo, Brazil; Wokingham, Berkshire UK; Singapore).

The Business Quality Senior Quality Engineer will:
  • Manages investigation of validation problems and conducts qualification activities.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures.
  • Manages documentation for new and current validation and /or qualification procedures and technical reports.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Implements and maintains validation policies, procedures, programs related to facilities, processes, equipment and automated systems.
  • Supervises validation approach to ensure continuous improvement consistent with established and evolving regulatory and company requirements.
  • Initiates and performs investigations to close out NCs /exceptional conditions.
  • Evaluates validation problems and issues.
  • Meets with relevant people to determine the most effective remediation technique and troubleshoots problems.
  • Communicates and elevates critical business related issues as well as opportunities to senior management.
  • Participates in companywide validation and calibration programs and provides guidance and expertise to project teams for validations.
  • Provides support in the resolution of product problems, or safety issues.
  • Plans, promotes and organizes required training activities related to different validation.
  • Follows up on key performance metrics to ensure validation activity efficiency through process improvements and utilization of resources.
  • Participates in establishing operational budget.
  • Ensures that subordinates follow all company guidelines related to health, safety and environmental practices and that resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.
  • Ensures appropriate resolution and documented justification for any and all deviations encountered during validation.

Qualifications
  • Greater than 3 years’ experience of performing and documenting validation activities in highly regulated environments is required.
  • Technical or Life Sciences Degree is required.
  • Software Quality Engineering certification is desired.
  • Lead Auditor (Supplier) certification is desired.
  • Technical Writing experience is required.
  • The ability to work with a global team.
  • The ability to travel internationally 25% of the time.
