Our Customer Account Management team focuses on the customer and strives for operational excellence in servicing mortgage loans and home equity products for our customers.

The Business Support Consultant 1 leads diverse support functions and/or operations/production oversight usually for multiple departments within a business group.

Functions supported may include: policy/procedure administration and adherence, systems/change initiatives, business continuity planning, legal and regulatory adherence, SLA negotiation/development, reporting and analysis, pipeline, process improvement, quality management, communications, and/or team member processing.

Consults with management and business partners on strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for the applicable business functions.

Presents to mid-level managers on business performance and recommends strategies to implement changes and improvements. Utilizes thorough knowledge of the business unit's functional area or products to support strategic initiatives for the business. May provide work direction to lower level staff.

Specifically, this position:

  • Provides subject matter expertise and support, identifies risks and root causes, analyzes data and resolves issues for the Account Maintenance and Monitoring team (AMMO).
  • Coordinate and assist with research and resolution of complex problems, system and procedural issues for AMMO, supporting and/or representing the business by participating, providing direction and making decisions. The particular area of focus will be Lien Release but projects will span to other areas.
  • Supports escalated account issues
  • Liaisons with AMMO team to provide technical, project and operational support
  • Identifies, reports and drives resolution of process gaps for root causes identified
Required Qualifications

  • 3+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: administrative support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services

Other Desired Qualifications
  • More than 5 years of experience with post-closing, custodial operations and lien release processes and functions, including custodial files, imaging and the completion of lien releases.
  • Proven mortgage and home equity business and product knowledge.
  • Expertise in ICMP (Image Archive), ARROW (Document Management System) and REKON (lien release application)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks and opportunities and deliver relevant information to business leaders and partners, including working with Legal and Compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, initiatives and issues to successful completion or resolution by identifying root cause
  • Advanced problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and develop relevant conclusions through analysis of data and risk
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task on activities and/or projects
  • Results driven
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
Job Expectations

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
