VDI Onboarding Technical Support Specialist, VP

State Street's Global VDI team is seeking a qualified candidate to provide technical support with on-boarding users to the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. In their technical capacity, the right candidates will have solid experience administering and supporting Citrix XenDesktop VDI users. Desktop migrations, Active Directory, SCCM, and applications packaging/delivery experience is desirable.

Responsibilities:
  • Interface with business users globally to collect and document desktop application requirements
  • Work with business users and application owners globally to determine application installation details
  • Various analysis and data gathering tasks
  • Provision users to Citrix XenDesktop VDIs through Citrix Studio
  • Assign applications via AD group membership
  • Provide technical guidance/resolve end-users' VDI sessions desktop / application issues

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Windows Desktop Support Specialist
  • Experience supporting Citrix XenDesktop VDIs
  • Experience as a Windows Administrator
  • Excel for data analysis
  • Ability to interact professionally with both business and technical teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience migrating Windows Desktops
  • Managing Active Directory group membership
  • Using SCCM to deploy applications
  • Application packaging
  • Basic scripting
  • Creative ability to think outside of the box
