Systems Analyst – Chevy Chase, MD Overview: The Systems Analyst will gather data and perform analysis activities related to business applications. Based on these activities, the Systems Analyst will make recommendations in areas that require a moderate level of technical competency. The Systems Analyst will assist in design and testing of applications, provide support and training to end users and will assist in the coordination of project management activities. Essential Areas of Responsibility: Performs Systems Analysis/Database Design/Programming, Implementation and Training activities for business applications: • Performs analysis tasks and makes recommendations in technical areas. • Provides technical training, guidance, and resource support to end users and departmental staff. • Serves as liaison between technical teams, external vendor teams and business users. • Provides business application support and plans for rollout of enhancements to existing applications. Defines system requirements, priorities, and recommends viable alternatives. Coordinates the efforts of internal and external team members to locate, assess, install, test, and maintain applications. • Manages change management protocols and maintains proper documentation in accordance with SOX guidelines. • Troubleshoots interface issues between business applications. • Coordinates data conversions and upgrades to applications. • Develops user documentation and departmental policies and procedures that impact the use of application systems and provides training on an as needed basis. • Create reports and analyses based on ad hoc requests. • Interfaces and coordinates work with external auditors and other consultants as needed. • Continues to develop professional skills in information systems and real estate fields through trade magazines, manuals, seminars and continuing education courses.
