Current Need
The Business Systems Analyst is accountable to work on new development projects, client support requests and triage issues related to the Total Payment Platform family of software products. The analyst will work closely and collaborate with the Product Manager to understand the business needs and translate these into functional requirements to ensure that the product vision and goals are met. The analyst is the key liaison between the Product Owner and the Product Development team, ensuring that the requirements are understood and that the end product developed meets the acceptance criteria. The analyst will take ownership of features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and any additional requirements artifacts. Client support requests and triage issues require the analyst to work closely and collaborate with both interdepartmental and intradepartmental resources.  Experience with Enterprise Software solutions and an understanding of software development using a Lean-Kanban and/or Agile methodology is desired.
 
Position Description 

Assists Product Owner/Product Management in the definition of high-level business requirements (Initiatives) and the prioritization of the product backlog and planning. 

Assists Client Services with requests and triaging of production support issues.  Collaborate with diverse team involved answering, solving or resolving client issues.  Keeps tracking system up to date and team informed of current status. 

Formulates features, user stories, and acceptance criteria (grooming). Collaborates with software developers to research existing business and system processes. Leads and documents requirements definition sessions with business and technical stakeholders to better understand functional, data, user interface, and non-functional requirements. Works within practices and policies for writing, updating, and managing requirements to ensure repeatable processes and delivery of value.

Performs functional acceptance testing of development deliverables to verify they meet the business and functional requirements. 

Identifies opportunities for improving quality and efficiency and helps drive process improvement initiatives.

Participates in external customer demos and validation of defects, features and user stories.

Collaborates with Documentation and Training to ensure accurate representation of the targeted features and other updates from issues in customer-facing documentation



Qualifications



Minimum Requirements
6+ years experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technology. Significant experience in business analysis, requirements definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems.



Critical Skills
6+ years in supporting production application’s client support and triage items.

A deep understanding of Agile/Lean SDLC with experience grooming Features/User Stories and Acceptance Criteria

Proven track record of identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving those improvements to completion

Basic technical understanding working with SaaS, client/server applications, API services, and RDBMS (Oracle/MSSQL)

Proficiency with basic software applications, including MS Office, MS Visio, and SharePoint

Proven ability to interface with customers and Product Management to elicit and prioritize market/business problems as well as functional/system requirements



Additional Knowledge & Skills

Experience working with Jira and Confluence preferred

Experience leading/mentoring other business systems analysts preferred

Experience with Kanban a plus

Exposure to the healthcare domain in payer/provider operations with a focus on contracting and claim reimbursement a plus

Experience delivering customer demos and presentations a plus

Experience with Balsamiq or similar UI design tools a plus



Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
