Manages Product Selection and Pricing Program (EDGE) for the Johnson Controls' Commercial and Industrial Fan business. Trouble shoots application issues for Reps, Vendors, OEM's and suppliers and distributors. Establishes and executes an EDGE Roadmap working with the business and IT teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Review all product offerings and maintain and create models within EDGE Sales and Pricing Rules database. Update and distribute them to users on an as needed basis (monthly, quarterly or annually).
Establish user rules and system parameters within the EDGE pricing program. Audit findings to ensure compliance with Air Distribution Technologies IT regulations and SOX compliance testing.
Create and update same models within the Fan Selection module for Brand product lines ensuring proper selection according to specifications.
Train users and perform customer training sessions on pricing and selection programs. Trouble shoots and fix problems associated with software and web site to ensure system is error free and the most updated information is available to users.
Provide exceptional Customer Service, supporting independent Rep Channel as well as SSNA Branch channel efforts w/ the EDGE selection software tool.
Perform testing of EDGE release candidate code to ensure proper branch product performance with such code and coordinate updates with IT.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's of Science Degree (B. S.) in Engineering or Computer Information Systems from an accredited four-year College or University; and a minimum of two plus years of related technical experience and/or training.
Experience interfacing directly w/ customers in a dynamic sales environment.
Experience w/ a Product based Selection and Pricing software is a plus.
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of National Instruments LabWindows/CVI and/or LabView as well as ANSI C programming will be preferred; MS Offices Suites to include MS Excel Spreadsheet software, MS Word, MS PowerPoint Word Processing, and SQL Express, Access, Quark and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Experience in preparing orders and handling technical resolutions on the phone or in person with customers is critical to the success in this position.
