Business Systems Consultant 3

Job Description

The Wealth & Investment Technology team is looking for a Business Systems Consultant on the Advisory Products Trading Team. A successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining Wells Fargo Advisors advisory trading platforms (e.g. APL) as well as Business Systems Databases (1BSD) which includes SAM & CATTS. The candidate will act as a liaison between Advisory Operations, Advisory Products, Trading / Middle Office, Mutual Fund Operations, and technology teams by planning, conducting and completing an analysis of moderately complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying and evaluating automated systems and related procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Coordinates test plans and programming activities. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes to the automated systems. Gathers data and prepares necessary reports.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to proactively manage and mitigate issues
  • SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • Vendor management experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
  • MS SQL server experience
  • Oracle experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting applications in a high pressure environment (e.g. trading applications)
  • Knowledge and understanding of portfolio management and/or trading
  • Knowledge of and experience in Brokerage, Wealth Management, and/or Portfolio Management (Model, Rebalance and Trading) is very beneficial
