Buyers are a key piece of McKesson Specialty Health’s drug distribution engine. They are central to all distribution programs in our distribution centers, and they are the essential to the key projects that are helping our business to evolve with the broader healthcare industry.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems.
This role will also be a decision making position for a variety of processes in the purchasing group. These processes will include, SAP MRP, Vistex, and the analytics to support the purchasing team. This role will also act as the buyer for special accounts as well as the back-up approver of PO’s between $25M - $75M. The manager will also oversee the analytics used to guide behavior of the buying team.
The purpose of this position is to improve effectiveness and efficiencies with system and process enhancements. This role will identify and execute value add changes as well as determine ‘waste’ steps to be eliminated. This is important given multiple systems, cross functional processes and critical new regulations.
