About our Business: Fiserv Lending Solutions business provides life-of-loan support and helps banks, thrifts, credit unions and other financial institutions close loans more quickly, manage loans more efficiently, and service loans more cost-effectively. This minimizes lending risk, improves customer satisfaction, enhances cross-sell opportunities, introduces new products more quickly, and facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements

Position Purpose:

Develops or modifies software products and/or customer applications for our Auto Lending Software clients.

Essential Job Responsibilities:  

Under general direction, designs, codes, installs, and maintains software programs. Under general direction, assists in design, coding, and installation of customized application enhancement projects. Under general direction, analyzes specifications for application enhancements for compatibility with other systems and within operating guidelines. Under general direction, analyzes dumps, debugs problems and applies fix procedures. Under general direction, prepares documentation for use by computer operations, applications programming, and user personnel. Under general direction, provides technical assistance and information to other systems software, computer operations, applications programming, and data communications personnel at all centers with this environment. Under general direction, assists with the training of applications programming and user personnel in the use of software systems. Under general direction, reviews new designs, enhancements and programs with supervisor and applications programming personnel for operating efficiencies. Completes other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:


A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education in a related discipline is required. 

Job Related Experience:

Requires 5+ years programming and /or related experience.

Additional Skills/Knowledge: Ability to solve problems that require extensive data gathering, investigation, review, and analysis to define the problem and then develop/implement solutions, which requires the use of complex analytical techniques and innovative thinking.

  • Expert Knowledge of distributed systems, C#, ASP.NET, SQL 2008/2012
  • Knowledge of financial systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of relationship of how software relates to hardware used.
  • Knowledge of software analysis and resolution.
  • Ability to resolve and follow up on software support issues.
  • Experience with the Fiserv Auto LOS Software preferred
  • General responsibilities and objectives are assigned with considerable latitude for defining actions and setting priorities.
  • Ability to make innovations that will affect the job and suggest changes to the immediate supervisor that affect other related jobs.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex business or technical subjects; must be able to discuss or explain this data with others, either internal or external to Fiserv.
  • Full understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and auditing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Fiserv Auto LOS Software preferred
  • Knowledge of financial systems preferred
