Responsibilities

Join our Information Technology team where you will work on new technologies and find ways to meet our customers’ needs and make it easy for them to do business with us. You will use functional expertise to act as an advisor to management and make recommendations on more complex projects. You will use professional concepts and company policies & procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems creatively and practically.

We are looking to hire a C programmer to join the Point Of Sales Team.  

  • Designs, codes, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software apps for backend servers in point of sale development group.
  • Participate in the evaluation, recommendation and selection of hardware and software solutions.
  • Research/analyze data processing functions, methods and procedures.
  • Monitor production systems for expected performance and avoid critical outages.
  • Perform root cause analysis on production issues and determine action items for prevention and resolution.
  • Performs expert-level engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development of software on UNIX platform.
  • Interface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments.
  • Manage, administer, and maintain all processes/procedures on the new hardware.
  • Research/analyze data processing functions, methods and procedures.
  • Monitor program execution for expected performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 or more years’ experience programming with C, UNIX, and Shell scripting.
  • 4 or more years experience using Oracle databases and PL/SQL and Pro*C.
  • 4 or more years front-end integration experience working with development teams on the deployment of applications based on UNIX.
  • Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills are necessary to perform the job function

Desired

  • DevOps and Cloud technologies.
  • BEA MessageQ.
  • Knowledge and experience in Open source COBOL, Accurev/Git.
