Coordinate and manage calibration functions for all ASP measuring devices.  Seek out and implement improved methods to accomplish on time calibrations in compliance with ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.  Scope will include external calibration management, vendor contacts, vendor direction, and relationship building.  Provide assessment of technical and other contributions of others in the department. Coordinate with lab owners as necessary to ensure thorough and complete customer satisfaction.  Respond to customer requests and strive to provide proactive & pre-emptive solutions. Assist customers in providing documentation on the metrology lab equipment reflecting changes to equipment status. Initiate, follow up, and manage on time completion of out of tolerance reports per company calibration procedure.  Manage the calibration performance metrics (calibration turn-around time, out of tolerance report closing time) including data entry, to be used to control activities of the calibration process. Attend meetings as assigned or appropriate.  Back up department representative as necessary in business team meetings with Calibration sub-contractors.  Follow up on action items resulted from the meetings. Manage all documentation related to calibration activities.  These include accuracy of equipment identification, calibration master list, calibration certificates, calibration files and out of tolerance reports.

  • A minimum of BA degree or high school degree with a minimum 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Working knowledge of GMP / ISO requirements preferred. 
  • Detailed understanding of metrology techniques is preferred. 
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications is requirement
  • Knowledge of Maximo preventive maintenance and calibration software is a plus
  • Occasional over time and weekdays are required
