Maintain the calibration laboratory's quality systems per published standards and guidance. Develop, document, and maintain calibration systems, procedures and work instructions based on the principles of measurement science and accuracy and precision requirements.
Oversight of calibration department recall schedule, personnel and any subcontractors to ensure work is performed in accordance with Novartis/Alcon standards. Ensure analysis of equipment for out-of-tolerance conditions and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken. Ensure calibrations are performed to documented standards with trained/qualified technicians. Recommend inspection, measuring, and test equipment for use in measurement applications. Review calibration documentation for completeness and compliance. Work closely with production and maintenance personnel to align calibration schedule with production and maintenance schedules.
