  • Work with senior analysts to develop additional quantitative and analytical tools to enhance security selection and portfolio management.
  • Contribute to reports and processes that allow for effective management and reporting of TH Real Estate portfolios.
  • Identify and communicate ways to improve the sale process, including review of bidder and broker relationships/selections.
  • Maintain communication and manage the process and flow of information to the brokers/buyers/property managers.
  • Manage closing process for transactions.
  • Perform active surveillance of portfolio holdings in order to identify trends and make recommendations.
  • Research market conditions in existing and potential new investment categories.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis used in the underwriting of potential investment opportunities.
  • Execute analysis, documentation, and processing of new investment transactions.
  • Develop internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment recommendations.
  • Identify and communicate ways to improve underwriting and surveillance practices.
  • Work collaboratively with 3rd party service providers including property managers, brokers and developers
  • In conjunction with the Property Manager or 3rd party vendor negotiates moderately complex vendor service and construction contracts.
  • Provide analytical support to team by building financial models, analyzing data in order to drive real estate portfolio values.
  • Contribute to overall success of the TH Real Estate business at TIAA Global Real Assets.



  • Strong problem solving skills with a solid knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Basic knowledge of commercial real estate (all property types)
  • Strong results orientation and ability to work in a performance-based environment
  • Proactive, positive and goal oriented with the ability to excel in both team and self-directed settings
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Argus helpful
  • Self-starter
  • Strong business acumen
  • Undergraduate degree required with study in real estate, finance, economics or accounting
