Regional Medical Center of San Jose is an acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center . Schedule: 1.0 (40 hours per week) Shift: Evenings, rotating weekends.

The Cardiovascular Educator supports the educational and clinical needs for the cardiovascular patient by working collaboratively with nursing and medical management to assure quality patient care. The role includes teaching, consulting, research, clinical care and role model/leader and mentoring functions relevant to a wide variety for the complex adult medical and surgical cardiovascular patient conditions.
Minimum: CA RN License, ACLS & BLS Certificate;
Preferred: Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification California

Minimum: 5 years nursing experience
Preferred: 1 year teaching experience

Minimum: Masters Degree in Nursing

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, educational process skills, facilitation skills & Microsoft Office Computer applications preferred
